In the Northern Hemisphere, it is suggested to sleep with your head pointing east for optimal energy alignment. East is best, West is okay, North-East is okay, South if you must, but never North. In the Southern Hemisphere, North is okay, but never South.
After hopefully a good night sleep in the natural direction, try rubbing your hands gently and then turn to your right when getting out of bed. Rubbing of the hands activates the whole nervous system, while turning right keeps the metabolic activity low.
