5. Bring the tools and gear needed to help yourself or others

6. Don’t fear — but choose safe paths. Know avalanche-prone areas and unstable ice

7. Spend time with books, maps, and compass. Always know where you are

8. Stay in the moment, turn back in time,
   drop the shame and take breaks

9. Save your strength, seek
   shelter, peace, and silence when needed

10. Spread light and love along your way
