Bubble Burst
Care🍀 Our minds can feel like a sky filled with floating bubbles, each one carrying a thought and a life form on its own. Some bubbles may hold a darker core, while others shine lighter. Meditation offers us a gentle way to quiet these bubbles, giving our minds the space to welcome mindfulness.
Curiosity📚 Meditation is a practice that has been embraced across cultures for thousands of years, with techniques ranging from breath awareness to mantra repetition and body scanning. Each method aims to bring attention inward, helping to quiet the noise of the external world and being fully in the present moment.
Incorporating rituals, like sitting by a sunny window, lighting a candle, or starting with deep breaths, can enhance the experience and signal to your mind that it’s time to be. Even just a few minutes a day can create a powerful shift🧘♀️
Creativity🤸♀️ This week, try a playful meditation exercise inspired by the Dalai Lama:
Find a quiet, comfortable space to sit.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and focus on being in the now.
When a thought arises, imagine it as a bubble. Gently reach out, burst it with your hand, and say "thinking" to release it.
Return your attention to your breath or the sensations in your body.
Credit🤍 By learning to quiet your mind, you create a ripple effect of calm that extends to those around you. When we become more present and compassionate with ourselves, we naturally inspire others to do the same, building a more thoughtful and connected world.
Side Note🙏 If you’re new to meditation, start small and let your practice grow naturally over time. There’s no “perfect” way—just being intentional is enough.
Until next week,
